I didnt spend 13 years playing games to shut up about them
I have been playing video games since the ripe age of 4, and since then I've had favorites, least favorites, games in the middle and games in the shitter
All the games here have been thoroughly tested by yours truly, and are all my opinons and you should take them as gospel.
I got into Parappa the Rapper in 5th grade after a friend of mine showed it to me, and since then i've been in love with it. I bought the ps4 remaster in 6th grade and played it SO MANY TIMES. I think the vibes and the athstetic of the game is so unique, and the presentation of it is awesome. as a music lover, it spoke to me in a very childish and cute way.
Parappa the Rapper 2 is miles better then the first game. Where the first game shines in the visual presentation, this game masters it while one-upping the musical aspects. The tap rhythm aspects are also a million percept better, I really like the double lined bar at the top. The story is also a lot better put together then Parappa 1, but its equally as stupid and charming.
Dishonored is one of those classics for me that have always lived in my heart as something different then the rest. A stealth/ action adventure game with a moderate amount of player choice? sign. me. up. One of the biggest strengths of this game is its art direction. It looks like a gothic 1800s oil painting, and had vibes like that too. THe industrial revolution vibe is also off the charts, and it makes the world very interesting. The lore is also a very well put together part of it, from The Outsider and what he represents/does for the world to the tiniest details like Damiens Journal in the Dunwall Sewers. The story is something that goes hand in hand with the lore too. It makes a very concentrated effort to tell a concise story but still give you freedom of choice on weather or not you want a high chaos, high death run, or a Low chaos, pacifist run without being seen. The combat mechanics, while sort of repetitive, can be very fun with the kind of powers you have. I should also note, I just 100% this game on very hard, getting all 50 base game achievements on Xbox 360, Woopie!
